Everyone knows pizza is my spirit animal. I obviously have a problem. But if eating pizza is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
After living here for about 10 months, I’ve had a fair amount of time to get around and try what Blono has to offer when it comes to pizza. Here’s my list of favorite pizza places in Bloomington-Normal in no particular order!*
*Also, this is my own list and is not endorsed by any establishment. But enough with legalese!
Tobin’s Pizza
So I know this is in no particular order, but come on. It’s Tobin’s… I’m in love with this place. When I was just a wee little lad, my family would make the trip from Washington to Bloomington JUST for this pizza. Plus, I love their delivery fleet, which is the largest delivery fleet in downstate Illinois! Also, if you haven’t had their Mama Theresa’s deep dish pizza, you’re seriously missing out.
Heaven.
Lucca Grill
The first time I went to Lucca’s, I was with two of my best friends, Lauren and Kevin. Kevin had been there before but it was Lauren and my first time. We felt like we had walked back in time to a little pizza place in Rome or something. The menus were so cool and full of amazing sounding food, we couldn’t decide. So, we ordered onion rings, fried ravioli, and pizza of course! This family restaurant has been around since 1936 and is still going strong! Definitely check this place out.
YAAS.
Joe’s Station House Pizza Pub and Joe’s Pub
This place has two locations because it just can’t handle all the awesomeness. Although, Joe’s Pub on G.E. Road is the dearest to my heart, because that’s where the Table Jackers dominate at trivia every week. Plus their food is amazing. There’s pizza, obvi, but there’s also SO much more than that. I really love their grinder sandwiches.
Also, SMORES PIZZA.
Rosati’s Pizza
Really digging this za right now. It’s a Chicago pizza place that has locations in a few different states, but man is it good. The crust is different. It’s a thin crust, but not so thin that I have to eat a whole pizza. AND they have Chicago style deep dish too. YAAS!
OKAY
Firehouse Pizza & Pub
Always a good time, we play trivia here too occasionally. I want to start off by saying I’m not a fan of sweet sauce. And Firehouse definitely loves their sweet sauce. BUT you can order different sauces for your pizza. They also have specialty pizzas that will rock your world. I love you chicken bacon ranch!!!!! <3
GET IN MY MOUTH
Limiting myself to only talk about my favorite places was difficult. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE PIZZA.
