Special Olympics Illinois’ biggest event of the year is their Summer Games coming up next weekend right here in BloNo!

All kinds of these amazing athletes will be hitting town for all kinds of events, including aquatics, gymnastics, powerlifting and soccer.  As always, Special Olympics can’t do it without plenty of volunteers, and there’s a great need for next weekend — up to 600 additional volunteers are needed!

The greatest volunteer need exists for the Friday PM shift (approx. 11:30am-5:00pm) and both the AM shift (approx. 7:00am-12:30pm) and PM shift (approx. 12:00pm-5:00pm) on Saturday, June 13. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt, individuals volunteering all day will also receive lunch.
