Hy-vee is located on Clearwater and Veterans, and will be the only grocery story in the area to offer a full service restaurant inside. On Thursday March 5th, I was invited to a free dining event at MARKET GRILLE next to Hy-Vee, where the staff practiced their craft.

Oh boy, can I tell you about the PEANUT BUTTER BURGER????!!!!

It was truly amazing, and I’m so glad I ordered it. The environment was lovely, with a warm fireplace, high top tables and booths, long metal bar with almost too many craft beers and more!

Hy-Vee Market Grille will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hundreds of Bloomington-Normal residents are going to work when the new Hy-Vee grocery store opens March 10th. Store Director Andrew Cocharan says he assisted with 35-hundred applications during open interviews.

“We hired just over 600,” says Cochran. “We still have a stack of people that as soon as there is an opportunity we’re gonna hire them, but we had to cut it off otherwise we would not have hours to give.”

Until the store opens, the crews are running tests in various departments and giving away their practice foods! Like and check the Hy-Vee Bloomington Facebook page for notices on how to get those free goodies.
