Seriously, we are so smart. Our knowledge of famous mullets, one hit wonders, and How I Met Your Mother is on fleek.
It was another trivia night at Joe’s Pub last night. Hopefully one of the last really cold ones until next year. Team Table Jackers lived up to their name, as when we got there, there were absolutely no tables or places at the bar. We quickly planned how we were going to jack another table.
After we indeed jacked a table, it was trivia time. Time to use the useless knowledge that us radio people have gathered…
First round was spectacular. Famous Mullets is Laura Ewan’s specialty apparently. She knew Patrick Swayze had a mullet, Joe Dirt (obviously), and so many more! We were super impressed.
Another fantastic round was How I Met Your Mother. I think Danny and I were the only ones that has watched the whole thing, so my confidence in this round was only as strong as the confidence in my abilities and I was nervous… In the end, I knew that Robin was from Vancouver and that Marshall and Lilly found a Cockamouse in their hotel room. We did alright with this round, although we forgot that the gang hung out with Moby on New Years Eve…
Ok. Carl is a beast at one hit wonders. He was naming artists that I didn’t know even existed. Los Del Rio apparently did the Macarena… Carl rapped Baby Got Back from front to back… I did know that We’re Not Gonna Take It was by Twisted Sister, but that was my only contribution. I think I went to get more beer at this point.
So, in the end, we got 2nd place because you can’t mess with us. Big thanks to Twin City Trivia for another great time!

P.S. One of the answers to a question was “glockenspiel”. Come on John Mark… No one is going to know what that is unless they went to school for music or something…
