A flat white is a fancy coffee drink developed in Australia and New Zealand in the 1980s. It’s pretty easy to make, by pouring microfoam (which is just a fancy way to say steamed milk with a lot of tiny bubbles) over a double shot of espresso. It is kind of like a cappuccino or a latte but smaller.
I made my way to Starbucks on this super cold day to try one of these new drinks. Here are my thoughts.
1. What is this?
2. Oh, it’s not too bad.
3. I’m so basic right now.
4. I mean, it’s definitely coffee.

5. It’s like really coffee-y…

6. I’m going to be up FOREVER.
