Do you remember back in 2009 when Brian May, Queen‘s guitarist, said that the band would be interested in Adam Lambert as their permanent frontman? Last year they also said that Lady Gaga would be a good choice to front the band, but I guess they decided it’s Bro’s before Hooooooooooooo…well let’s just say they thought Adam was the better choice of the two. I actually think it’s a semi-perfect fit. What do you think?

Adam has officially confirmed that he’ll be joining Queen as their frontman for their summer tour!

“The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f–king great songs. It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”

And here’s Adam on backlash he’s received from fans who say that he can’t replace Freddie Mercury:

“After the EMAs, I heard faint little slithers of a backlash from people saying: ‘You can’t replace Freddie Mercury.’ But I already knew that.”

“There’s no intention in my mind of replacing Freddie. That’s impossible. The way I’m choosing to view it is that it’s a great honour and one I’m in no way going to shirk…Being asked to front Queen is the best thing that can possibly happen.”

Haters will hate, but not EVERY Queen fan can think this is a bad idea. I mean the BAND thinks it’s a good idea…

What do you think of Adam Lambert being the new frontman for Queen?
