American Idol alums Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner are getting married! The artists met during their time on Idol in 2018, and recently returned to Los Angeles for a stay at the same hotel where they stayed during their Idol run and even stayed in the same room!

Cade says he planned on asking Gabby to marry him but was waiting for the right time, but when the right time presented itself, he didn’t have the ring. So Cade had his sister overnight it to him so he would have it for their photo shoot the next day.

As the photographer changed lenses, Cade got down on one knee, “Cade starts saying all these sweet things and I didn’t think anything of it because he normally does it all the time,” Barrett said. “But I noticed he kept going on and on and then he eventually said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you.’

The couple hasn’t set a date for the nuptials yet but hopes they can tie the knot next Fall or Winter.  Barrett, 19 and Foehner, 22 are young, but Foehner says, “I’m ready to do this thing and when I’m 80 years old I’m going to look back at the time I wasted not being her husband.” The couple says they do plan on inviting Idol judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan.
